Hyderabad: The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has decided to temporarily suspend T-9 tickets for three more days due to the large number of people traveling for Raksha Bandhan. The service was already put on hold from August 29 to September 1, and now it has been extended to September 4. The tickets will resume as usual from September 5.
The TSRTC made this decision because there is a rush of passengers during Rakhi Purnima, and it is difficult to enter all the required details in the ticket machines during this busy period. The suspension of T-9 tickets will be in effect until September 4, and then they will continue as usual.
According to TSRTC chairman MLA Bajireddy Govardhan, the T-9 tickets were introduced for passengers traveling in ‘Palle Velugu’ buses in the State. There are two types of T-9 tickets: T-9-60 for two-way travel within a 60-km range priced at Rs 100, and T-9-30 for travel within a 30-km range priced at Rs 50.
