The Special Investigation Team (SIT) in Hyderabad is currently investigating a question paper leak that occurred during the Telangana State Public Service Commission’s (TSPSC) Assistant Engineer (Civil) examination. The SIT recently recorded the statement of TSPSC Chairman B Janardhan Reddy as a witness in connection with the case. Earlier this month, notices were issued to the Secretary and a member of the TSPSC, who also appeared before the SIT on April 1 to have their statements recorded.

A total of 15 people, including some TSPSC employees, have been arrested since March 13 for their alleged involvement in the data breach. The leak involved stealing and leaking question papers for various TSPSC exams.

Due to allegations of a question paper leak, the TSPSC cancelled the Assistant Engineers (AE) exam held on March 5. The Commission also cancelled the Group-I preliminary exam and two other tests amidst protests by opposition parties and student groups over the alleged leak. The investigation is ongoing, and more information is expected to be released as it becomes available.
