South Central Railway (SCR) has received five awards in the “Telangana State Energy Conservation Awards-2023” (TSEC) presented by Telangana State Renewable Energy Development Corporation (TSREDCO), Ministry of Energy, Government of Telangana. These awards were given for buildings and stations that made significant efforts in efficient energy utilization, energy conservation, research, and promotion of energy efficiency during the year 2022-23.
The gold award in the railway station buildings category was given to Nalgonda railway station, while Lekha Bhavan received the gold award in the government buildings category. Kacheguda railway station was awarded the silver in the railway station building category. The Passenger Reservation System building and Lalaguda Carriage Workshop won silver awards in the government buildings and medium-scale industries categories, respectively, according to a senior official from SCR.
In addition to these awards, SCR also received two awards in the Andhra Pradesh State Energy Conservation Awards – 2023 presented by Andhra Pradesh State Energy Conservation Mission.
