    Telangana Minister Gangula Kamalakar inaugurated Karimnagar city as a global tourist center on Sunday, along with Mayor Yadagiri Sunil Rao. They have modernized the city with an investment of Rs 120 crores. Minister Gangula Kamalakar spoke about the development of Karimnagar in various aspects and how it has improved the lives of the people.

    He mentioned that they are working towards the development of Karimnagar with funds of Rs 500 crores. They have already started the beautification of roads, junctions, and the central lighting system in the city. Previously, Karimnagar was known as a backward area, but with an investment of Rs 20 crores, they have successfully implemented the central lighting system. The junctions were small and poorly maintained, but now they are being renovated with an investment of Rs 8 crores to improve the connectivity for the people.

    Minister Gangula Kamalakar further stated that they have started the development of Housing Board Chourastha, HKR Road, Sadasivapalli, Gandhi Road, Babu Jagjivan Ram Chourasta, and Mata Shishu Island. They also mentioned that tenders are being called for beautification of six more junctions, including Koti Rampur Chourasta, Sikuvadi, Naka Chourasta, and RTC Bus Stand Chourasta. Once the construction of the junctions is completed, the city will look more beautiful at night.

    As a part of the riverfront development, Minister Gangula Kamalakar announced that they have started the construction of a cable bridge with a dynamic lighting system at a cost of Rs 224 crores. By August 15, they aim to complete the first phase of the riverfront project and provide better facilities for the people. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Mayor Yadagiri Sunil Rao, Deputy Mayor Challa Swaroopa Rani Hari Shankar, Library Chairman Ponna Anil Goud, Corporators Valla Ramanarao, Akhil Feroz Bonala Shrikant, Deputy Mayor Maji Srinivas, and Barkat Ali.
