Hyderabad: BJP leader Aleti Maheshwar Reddy announced that the party’s MLAs and MLCs will visit areas along the Musi riverbed on October 23 and 24.
In a press briefing, Reddy explained that a meeting was held on Friday, attended by key leaders like Sunil Bansal, the state party in charge, and G Kishan Reddy, the State BJP chief. During the meeting, they discussed various party activities and strategies.
The BJP representatives decided to oppose what they described as the “highhandedness” of HYDRA, related to the ongoing developments along the Musi Riverfront. Their visit to the area on October 23 and 24 aims to meet with local people and understand the situation firsthand. The party plans to take significant action on October 25 to protest against the displacement of residents due to the Musi River beautification project.
Additionally, the BJP has extended its membership drive until October 24. The meeting also focused on preparing strategies for the upcoming local body and MLC elections. The party will soon finalize its candidates for the MLC elections. Reddy mentioned that similar meetings will be held every month to plan future activities and address issues affecting the people.
