A three-day training program organized by HMWSSB for plumbers and masons on borehole construction in Hyderabad concluded on Thursday. The Water Board, EPTRI, and GHMC worked together to increase groundwater levels in the city. Training sessions were held for 150 plumbers and masons to give them the skills needed for borehole construction.
Sudarshan Reddy, Managing Director of HMWSSB, mentioned that the Water Board has taken various steps to recharge groundwater in Hyderabad. They have raised awareness about constructing pits in 30,000 premises primarily serviced by tankers.
Representatives from 18 NGO organizations are actively involved in this initiative. Trained individuals will provide technical assistance to anyone interested in building wells in Hyderabad.
