The GHMC Mayor, Gadwal Vijayalakshmi, has launched a training programme for ward officers at the GHMC headquarters in Hyderabad. The GHMC has introduced a ward system to improve governance for citizens, with one ward being created for every 50,000 people. The ward administration system will work to address complaints from the public, with officials responsible for drinking water, sanitation, town planning and more. Ward level officers will be available to public representatives and corporators. The Ward system should function as a civil services delivery centre. A comprehensive training programme is being conducted across the City for HoDs in various departments.
