The city police have issued a traffic advisory for the distribution of ‘fish prasadam’ at Exhibition Grounds, Nampally. The traffic restrictions will be in place from June 8 until 6 am on June 9.
Moderate traffic congestion is expected on roads around Exhibition Grounds. Diversions will be enforced in the areas of Nampally and surrounding junctions as needed.
Those arriving in four-wheelers from Nampally for fish prasadam should park at Gruha Kalpa, Gagan Vihar, or Chandra Vihar. They will then need to walk to Exhibition Grounds Gate no 2.
For those arriving in buses/vans from MJ Market, they will get off at Gandhi Bhavan bus stop. If coming from Nampally, they should alight at Gruha Kalpa bus stop and proceed to Gate no 2.
VIP car passholders from MJ Market will head towards Ajanta Gate, Gandhi Bhavan, and then turn left towards Gate no 1 and CWC Gate for VIP entry. Passholders from Nampally will make a u-turn at Gandhi Bhavan and follow the same route to the VIP parking area.
Those on two-wheelers from MJ Market should park at Manoranjan Complex parking area. Two-wheelers coming from Nampally can park on the left side of the road designated for two-wheelers between Gruha Kalpa and the BJP office.
Auto alighting spots have been arranged in front of Shezan Hotel, Bhavani Wines/Juvenile Court, and Excise office. Parking areas for autos are designated on the left side of the road.
Government vehicles, buses, and vans will park at MAM Girls Junior College, Nampally. Vehicles from MJ Market side will be diverted towards Abids, GPO Nampally. Traffic from MJ Bridge and Begum Bazar Chatri heading to Nampally will be redirected at Alaska towards Darussalam, Ek Minar.
Water tankers of HMWSSB and Fisheries department vehicles bringing fish to Exhibition Grounds will enter through Gate no 3. Voluntary organizations with valid passes for food material transportation can also enter through Gate no 3.
