    Hyderabad: In light of the Ujjaini Mahakali Bonalu festival in Secunderabad, authorities have imposed traffic restrictions in several areas of Hyderabad. The restrictions are in effect on Mondays when devotees gather near the temple to celebrate the Bonalu festival. Traffic diversions have been implemented to ease congestion and ensure the safety of worshippers. Commuters traveling to the Secunderabad railway station have been advised to leave early and avoid the affected routes. In addition, vehicles are being redirected from Plot Farm Number 1 to Plot Farm Number 10. The traffic restrictions extend to a radius of two kilometers around the temple, and the cooperation of the public is requested.

    Routes affected by traffic restrictions include Mahankali Temple, Tobacco Bazaar, and Hill Street, where road closures are in place.

    Subhash Road, Bata Chowrasta, Rangopalpet PS, and Secunderabad Marg have also been closed to traffic.

    Adavayya Road is another affected route.

    General Bazaar Road leading to the temple is closed for traffic.

    Here are the route diversions:

    For normal traffic and RTC buses coming from Karbala Maidan, they should take the Rani Gunj X Road route towards Minister Road.

    For RTC buses traveling from the railway station towards Tank Bund, they should follow the Chilkalguda Crossroads, Gandhi Hospital, Musheerabad Crossroads, Kavadiguda, and Market Hotel Tank Bund routes.

    Vehicles heading towards Tadbund should divert via Clock Tower, Patny X Roads, S.B.H X Roads, and S.B.H X Roads.

    Ghasmandi Crossroads: From Bible House to Secunderabad Railway Station, regular traffic and RTC buses should use the Ghasmandi X Roads route via Sajjanal Street, Secunderabad Railway Station, Hill Street, and Rani Gunj.

    Patny X Roads: From SBH Chowrasta, Tank Bund-bound vehicles should take the Paradise, Minister Road, Rani Gunj, Karbala Maidan routes or divert via Patny Crossroads, Musheerabad, Kavadiguda, Market Hotel, and Tank Bund.

    Paradise X Roads: From CTO Junction towards M.J. Road, vehicles should take the Sindhi Colony, Minister Road, Rani Gunj, and Karbala Maidan routes. Traffic from Patny Crossroads towards CTO Junction should divert via Sitaram Street, Paradise, and Clock Tower.

    Panjagutta: Vehicles traveling from Panjagutta towards Panjagutta, Khairtabad Junction, Ameerpet, and Begumpet should use the RTC X Roads route via Saiti Main Road, St. Mary’s Road, and RTC X Roads.

    Secunderabad Railway Station to Hakimpet, Booinipalli, Balanagar, and Amirpet: Vehicles should take the Clock Tower route towards Vaayapattinam and then proceed to Patny and SBH X Roads.

    These traffic restrictions will also affect routes from Secunderabad Railway Station to Secunderabad Old Gandhi X Roads, Monda Market, Ghasmandi, Bible House, Karbala Maidan, and Tank Bund.

    From Secunderabad Railway Station to Panjagutta, traffic should avoid Panjagutta, Ramantapur, Ambarpet, Himayathnagar, and Khairtabad Junction. Heavy traffic is expected on the Uppal, Tarnaka, and Secunderabad routes.

    From Secunderabad Railway Station to Hakeempet, Booinipalli, Balanagar, and Amirpet: Vehicles should use the Clock Tower route towards Vaayapattinam and then proceed to Patny and SBH X Roads.

    With these traffic diversions, authorities aim to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and the safety of commuters during the Ujjaini Mahakali Bonalu festival.
