In Rangareddy, TPCC general secretary Veerlapalli Shankar has taken action to help farmers affected by heavy rain. He submitted a petition to the local Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO) asking for a survey and compensation for farmers whose homes have been damaged. Shankar expressed concern for the farmers and their need for financial assistance to rebuild their lives. He also mentioned that 30 families have already received financial aid and essential goods.
The unseasonal rains have caused significant losses to agricultural crops, leaving many farmers in dire circumstances. Shankar demanded compensation for those who have suffered crop losses, ensuring they receive the necessary support to recover economically. He also called for urgent repair work to clear blocked roads and restore road connectivity in the region. This would help ease the movement of people and goods.
Shankar emphasized the importance of government officials personally visiting affected villages to better understand the challenges faced by rural communities. He stated that swift and effective solutions must be implemented to alleviate the suffering of the affected farmers. Other leaders, including Chennaiah, Congress party PCC member Babar Ali Khan, Challa Srikanth Reddy, and Mubarak Ali Khan, were present during the submission of the petition.
