TPCC Assures Recognition for Hardworking Leaders
Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) working president Mahesh Kumar Goud has promised to recognize the efforts of leaders who have worked tirelessly to strengthen the party. He assured that such leaders will be given opportunities in the future.
Speaking at an Adivasi Congress meeting held at Indira Bhavan on Saturday, Goud stated that the hard work of grassroots leaders had played a crucial role in bringing the Congress party to power in Telangana. He emphasized that the party would prioritize these leaders for upcoming roles and responsibilities.
Criticizing the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), Goud accused the KCR-led government of corruption and mismanagement. He said, “The history of BRS is one of exploitation and rampant corruption. The KCR government, along with his family, has looted the state recklessly, leaving it with Rs. 8 lakh crore in debt and financial distress.”
Goud also highlighted Congress’ commitment to fulfilling its promises. He said, “We are working hard to implement all the assurances made before the elections. However, BRS resorts to spreading false propaganda against us. We must counter their lies by showcasing the good work our government has done at the grassroots level.”
The TPCC leader mentioned several welfare initiatives launched by Congress, including free bus travel for women, 200 units of free electricity, Rs. 500 cooking gas cylinders, and the Aarogyasri healthcare scheme. He also noted that the government has allocated Rs. 18,000 crores for farm loan waivers and created 50,000 jobs within just 10 months—achievements, he claimed, that the BRS failed to deliver in the past decade.
Addressing the issue of divisive politics, Goud criticized the BJP, stating, “The BJP thrives on communal propaganda, but we must expose their lies. Rahul Gandhi, through his Bharat Jodo Yatra, has shown a vision to unite the country and lead it towards development. It is essential for Rahul Gandhi to become the Prime Minister.”
In addition, AICC leader Koppula Raju announced plans for a week-long camp at Nagarjuna Sagar to address tribal issues. He highlighted the importance of detailed discussions on seven to eight key topics each day during the camp. Congress leader Bellayya Naik and several other leaders were also present at the meeting.
