Hyderabad: The Congress party has decided not to take any disciplinary action against State Forest and Environment Minister Konda Surekha for her controversial comments about film star Nagarjuna and his family. This decision comes after the Minister apologized for her remarks, according to TPCC Chief Mahesh Kumar Goud on Friday.

Speaking at a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan, Mahesh Kumar Goud clarified that the party high command did not ask Konda Surekha for any further explanation. He also mentioned that the issue had already calmed down after the Minister’s apology. However, he added that Surekha should not have made such derogatory statements about the Nagarjuna family.
