During the visit, the Collector emphasized the state government’s commitment to boosting tourism in the district under the leadership of Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao. He explained that a team of ministers had already evaluated tourist spots in forest areas and submitted reports to the government. Plans are in motion to establish an eco-tourism park in the region to raise environmental awareness and provide visitors with a memorable experience.

The Collector reviewed strategies to transform the Nallamala forest region, the Krishna River Srisailam backwaters, and nearby islands like Malleshwaram into major tourist attractions. Malleshwaram Island, in particular, was identified as a priority due to its potential to draw visitors. He also directed officials to ensure safety measures for tourists and improve basic infrastructure and services in the area.

Highlighting the district’s tourism potential, the Collector explained that various attractions, including forest areas, spiritual sites, water sports, adventure activities, and food tourism, could help make Nagarkurnool a key tourism hub. He noted that these developments were being driven by the efforts of Minister Jupally Krishna Rao.

The Collector also stressed that promoting tourism would not only enhance the local economy but also create job opportunities for unemployed youth in the district. This initiative is expected to improve the livelihoods of residents living in and around tourist areas.

Accompanying the Collector on this tour were Kollapur Tahsildar Vishnu Vardhan Rao, Pentlavelli Tahsildar Jayanti, Forest Range Officer (FRO) Chandrasekhar, and District Tourism Officer Kalvarala Narasimha, among other officials.
