    Shri TMT Scholarships Distributed at JNTUH

    The Shri TMT Scholarships for the 2024-25 academic year were handed out on Wednesday at the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) campus. The event was organized by the University College of Engineering, Science and Technology (UCEST).

    Professor V. Balakista Reddy, the Vice-Chancellor in charge of JNTUH, presented the scholarships to deserving students. He praised Shri TMT, represented by Deveshree Ispat (Pvt) Ltd, for supporting students financially and bridging the gap between academics and industry. A total of 16 scholarships were awarded to third-year Civil Engineering students based on their academic excellence.

    The Vice-Chancellor highlighted the importance of industry partnerships in helping students gain practical knowledge and improving their job prospects. He encouraged more industries and alumni to come forward and create similar opportunities for students.

    Shri TMT Technical Marketing Head, Rajeev Singh Bisht, also spoke at the event. He expressed gratitude to everyone present and shared insights from his experiences in the business world. He emphasized the value of quality and dedication, stating, “When you serve, it is not free; it carries quality values with benchmarks.”

    Mr. Bisht also praised the hard work of the students. Although the initial plan was to award scholarships to 14 students, the committee decided to increase the number to 16 due to the students’ exceptional efforts.

    Professor V. Balakista Reddy inspired the students with words of encouragement. He urged them to prepare for global competition and view challenges as opportunities. “There is nothing you cannot achieve,” he said, stressing the importance of discipline and focus in education.

    The scholarship distribution event also saw participation from Registrar Professor K. Venkateshwar Rao, Dr. G. Venkata Narasimha Reddy, and other dignitaries. Their presence added significance to the occasion, making it a memorable day for all attendees.
