Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) has announced that there will be disruptions in water supply in several areas of the city for a 24-hour period, leading to low water pressure in many locations on Thursday.
The areas where water supply will be completely interrupted include Shaikpet, Jubilee Hills, Somajiguda, Borabanda, Moosapet, Nallagandla, Chandnagar, HUDA Colony, Hafizpet, Manikonda, Narsingi, Manchirevula, and Tellapur.
Additionally, areas such as Bhojagutta Reservoir, Banjara Hills, Erragadda, KPHB, and Hydernagar will experience low-pressure water supplies.
HMWSSB officials have stated that repair work is being carried out by TG Transco at the 132 KV Peddapur and Kandi substations. These substations supply electricity to the Singuru 3 and 4 phases, which in turn provide drinking water to Hyderabad. The transco works are scheduled to take place from 7 am on July 4 to 7 am on July 5.
Consumers in the affected areas have been advised by HMWSSB officials to use water conservatively during this time.
