Union Minister G Kishan Reddy stated that the Modi government is working towards empowering the adivasis. The government has allocated over Rs 1.17 lakh crore for tribal welfare and is implementing the Pradhan Mantri Adivasis Welfare Programme. The government is focusing on 11 aspects of tribal development and has identified 75 tribes in 18 states. They plan to provide land titles, construct tribal hostels and hospitals, and provide basic facilities such as electricity.
