President Droupadi Murmu will be visiting the historical birthplace of the Bhoodan Movement, Bhudan Pochampally, this Wednesday. She will arrive at 10:30 am, accompanied by three army helicopters. During her visit, she will observe the process of making tie and dye Ikkat silk sarees. Afterward, she will go to the Tourism Centre from the helipad in specially arranged cars, where she will pay tribute to land reformers Acharya Vinobhabave and Vedire Ramchandra Reddy.
The President will also meet with local handloom workers during her visit. She has a special meeting scheduled with handloom master weaver Shivakumar. The looms will be inspected at the Balaji Function Hall, and the President will have the opportunity to meet with 350 specially invited guests.
There will be a stage for six individuals, including President Murmu. Governor Tamilisai Sounderarajan, State Ministers Seethakka and Tummala Nageswara Rao, Government Whip Birla Ailaiah, and representatives from both the central and state governments will share this platform. The President is expected to spend around forty minutes in Bhoodan Pochampally.
