The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) Hyderabad had their 9th graduation ceremony at Dr Marri Channa Reddy Human Resource Development Institute of Telangana in Jubilee Hills. Sharmilla Oswal, also known as the Millet Woman of India, was the main speaker. She encouraged the graduating students to put what they learned into action and become agents of change. She also advised them to leave their comfort zones and work in the field to better understand social issues.
During the ceremony, the Director/Vice-Chancellor of the institute handed out degrees to 136 students who completed various Master’s programs, such as MA in Public Policy and Governance, MA in Women Studies, MA in Education, MA in Rural Development and Governance, MA in Natural Resources and Governance, and MA in Development Studies. The students who achieved academic excellence were also given medals and prizes.
