    A total of 306 applications were received at Gandhi Bhavan, the State unit head office of the Congress party from people who want to run in the Lok Sabha polls. On the last day alone, the party office received 166 applications.

    There are many applicants for the Khammam parliamentary ticket, making it a popular choice among contenders. Jetti Kusum Kumar, former PCC working president, has filed applications. Other notable leaders who have applied include former PCC chief V Hanumantha Rao, VVC group MD Rajendra Prasad, and many more.

    Prominent leaders such as Dr Pidamarthi Ravi (Warangal), Motkupally Narsimhulu, former MLA Katakam Mruthyunjayam, Gaddam Vamshi Krishna (Peddapalli), PCC spokesperson Bandi Sudhakar (Bhongir), and many others have also applied.
