Hyderabad: The Mangalhat Police have arrested three men for the murder of Durgesh Singh. The murder happened on October 14, 2024. The suspects are Thakur Bajrang Singh, 34, R. Tulja Ram Singh, 36, and R. Satyanarayan Singh, 32. All of them live in Lower Dhoolpet. According to the police, the accused have admitted to being involved in the crime.
The murder took place around 12:15 AM at Satyagulab Residency, near House No. 14-10-707. The case was filed after Durgesh’s brother, R. Subhash Singh, lodged a complaint. He claimed that his brother had been killed by these three men.
Police investigations showed that there had been ongoing property disputes between Durgesh and the accused. This long-standing disagreement had caused personal tensions. On October 15, the police arrested the suspects, who then confessed that their fight over property had led to the violence.
The police searched the homes of the accused and collected their mobile phones as evidence. After completing the formalities, the suspects are now being presented in court for judicial remand.
The operation was carried out under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner of Police (South West Zone) G. Chandra Mohan with help from other officers. Key officers involved included ACP Goshamahal K. Venkat Reddy, SHO Mangalhat M. Mahesh, and Detective Inspector P. Mahender.
This case has received a lot of attention from the community. It highlights the risks linked to unresolved property disputes. The police are continuing their investigation to gather more evidence.
