    The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Telangana recently caught three officials receiving bribe in separate incidents. This is a serious issue that highlights the prevalence of corruption in the country and the efforts being made to combat it.

    The three officials caught by ACB were identified as M. Ramesh, a sub-inspector of police, K. Srinivas, a village revenue officer, and K. Suresh Babu, a municipal commissioner. All three were caught red-handed while accepting bribes from individuals seeking favours from them.

    M. Ramesh was caught accepting a bribe of Rs. 50,000 from a complainant who had approached him for help in resolving a land dispute. K. Srinivas was caught accepting a bribe of Rs. 10,000 from a farmer who had approached him for permission to construct a house on his land. K. Suresh Babu was caught accepting a bribe of Rs. 1 lakh from a contractor who had approached him for approval of a building plan.

    These incidents are not isolated and highlight the need for stricter measures to tackle corruption in the country. Corruption is a major hindrance to development and progress, and it affects all sections of society.
