The Panjgutta police in Hyderabad arrested three foreign nationals for overstaying in India after their visas had expired. They were also suspected of being involved in illegal activities. The arrested individuals were Karmo Martin P, Kabatuku Mary, and Cole Johnson.

Karmo Martin P, a Liberian national, arrived in India on a student visa in 2019. He studied at Nizam College from 2020 to 2023. However, he kept extending his visa by falsely claiming that he had backlogs. Authorities detained him at CCS Basheerbagh following orders from the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) in Hyderabad. He was deported to Liberia on February 26.

Kabatuku Mary, a Ugandan national, came to India on a medical visa on December 17, 2024, for treatment at Apollo Hospital in Jubilee Hills. However, investigations revealed that she never visited the hospital and was staying in India illegally. She was also suspected of being involved in the flesh trade. Police detained her at CCS Basheerbagh and deported her to Uganda on March 4.
