    The water level in the Godavari River at Bhadrachalam has reached the third warning level. At 7pm on Saturday, the water level was recorded at 55.4 feet. It is expected to reach 58 feet in the early hours of Sunday and then start receding throughout the day. To ensure the safety of residents, 9,989 people have been relocated to 37 flood relief centers in 9 mandals.

    This increase in water level has affected 76 villages in 55 revenue villages across 9 mandals in the district. As a response to the situation, Minister for Transport Puvvada Ajay Kumar, Congress leader Bhatti Vikramarkha, MPs Nama Nageswara Rao and Vaddiraju Ravichandra, MLC Tata Madhusudhan, MLA Rega Kantha Rao, and others have visited the flood-affected areas and engaged with the affected population.
