The city of Khammam was about to unveil a statue of former Chief Minister and movie star NT Rama Rao on May 28th. However, Yadava organizations raised concerns about the statue’s appearance. They thought it looked like Lord Sri Krishna and felt it was inappropriate. The High Court agreed and stopped the unveiling of the statue. The organizers removed the symbols of Lord Sri Krishna and painted the statue in gold. They hoped to unveil it on May 28th but the High Court postponed the case until June 6th. The event was cancelled, and the organizers will soon unveil a new NTR statue at that location.
