Union Coal and Mines Minister G Kishan Reddy launched the 10th round of commercial coal mine auctions in Hyderabad on Friday. This round includes 67 coal mines. The goal is to boost domestic coal production and secure the nation’s energy needs, as stated by the Ministry of Coal.

These auctions aim to increase coal production within the country, reducing the need for imports and ensuring a stable energy supply for India. By offering these coal mines to commercial entities, the government hopes to stimulate investment in the sector and create more job opportunities.
