Mahamood Javeed, the City Congress Convener of Khammam, participated in a people’s march led by CLP leader Bhatti Vikramarka in Pembarthi on Sunday. Javeed was accompanied by district leaders and others. He expressed confidence that the Congress would win the upcoming elections in the State and at the Centre.
Javeed criticized the BRS government for implementing anti-people policies for the last nine years. He said that the people’s response to the march showed that the party was winning over their hearts. Bhatti’s people’s march covered 15 constituencies in the districts of Adilabad, Karimnagar, and Warangal and is expected to reach Alair in Nalgonda soon.
Prior to the march, Congress leaders visited villages in the mandals of Mudigonda and Karapalley to assess the damage caused by unseasonal rains and hailstorms. They criticized the BRS government for ignoring the plight of farmers who were suffering financially due to the damage caused. Javeed pointed out that none of the BRS leaders, Ministers, or MLAs had visited the affected farmers.
