The 75th Republic Day Celebrations are marked by the district collector's addressK. Shashanka, the Rangareddy District Collector and Magistrate, served as the Chief Guest at India’s 75th Republic Day celebrations. His address was packed with emotional greetings to the liberation warriors, public representatives, journalists, and district residents who had come together to commemorate this historic day in the country’s history.

Reflecting on the hard-fought independence attained on August 15, 1947, Gov. Shri K. Shashanka paid tribute to the martyrs who gave their lives for the country’s freedom. He explored the origins of the Indian Constitution, recognizing the contributions of visionaries such as Dr. Babu Rajendra Prasad and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar who were instrumental in its development. The Constitution, passed by the Constituent Assembly on November 26, 1949, went into effect on January 26, 1950, and marked India’s transition to a sovereign, socialist, secular democratic republic.

“The Constitution of India is a testament to the democratic values that our nation upholds,” said K. Shashanka, the president of India. “It took two years, 11 months, and 18 days to draft this remarkable document, and today, as a united India, we celebrate the principles it enshrines.”

“Under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, our government is working towards ensuring the welfare of every citizen,” said Lieutenant Governor K. Shashanka. “The implementation of the six promises provided to the people is currently ongoing, with two of them already accomplished. Our dedication to resolving public issues is demonstrated by the regular sessions hosted at the Mahatma Jyoti Rao Phule Praja Bhavan in Hyderabad, where ministers actively engage with the public every Tuesday and Friday.”

As the tricolor flag was proudly hoisted across the country, the District Collector urged everyone to celebrate Republic Day with a sense of pride and responsibility, cultivating a united spirit for the nation’s advancement and development.
