Hyderabad: The Southern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Limited (TGSPDCL) has taken action against four of its electricity officials. The company’s Chairman and Managing Director, Musharraf Faruqui, initiated these steps due to reasons like neglect of duty, consumer complaints, corruption, and absenteeism.

One of the officials, E. Ambedkar, who is an Assistant Divisional Engineer (Operations) in Ibrahim Bagh, has been reassigned to the corporate office. Another official, Sandeep Reddy, who serves as an Assistant Engineer (Operations) in Narsingi, has been suspended.

Additionally, charge sheets have been issued to two more officials. Siva Shankar, Divisional Engineer (Operations) in Ibrahim Bagh, and A. Gyaneshwar Rao, Additional Assistant Engineer (Operations) in Ibrahim Bagh, are both facing disciplinary action.

Musharraf Faruqui emphasized that the company will not tolerate unethical activities. He warned that actions like neglecting duties and engaging in corrupt practices will not be accepted, especially when they cause discomfort or inconvenience to consumers.
