The Southern Power Distribution Company of Telangana (TGSPDCL) has received a prestigious national-level recognition. The Ministry of Power released the Distribution Utilities Ranking (DUR) Report – Consumer Service Rating of Discoms (CSRD) Report for 2023-24, in which TGSPDCL secured the 3rd rank in its category. A total of 41 power distribution companies (DISCOMs) were evaluated in the report.
TGSPDCL stood out for providing high-quality and reliable power supply to its consumers. Compared to other DISCOMs, it excelled in several areas, including faster approval of electricity connections, simplified regulations requiring minimal paperwork, and accurate billing through IR port-based meters. The company has also ensured that 99% of its electricity-related services are available online via its website and mobile app, reducing the need for consumers to visit physical offices.
The company has been praised for its prompt resolution of consumer complaints and efficient customer service. These efforts have helped TGSPDCL achieve a high ranking in the national evaluation.
On this achievement, TGSPDCL Chairman and Managing Director Musharraf Faruqui congratulated the company’s officials, staff, and consumers. He encouraged them to continue their hard work to further improve the company’s ranking and service quality in the future.
