The Telangana Pollution Control Board (TGPCB) teamed up with Villa Marie Degree College for Women to celebrate Global Recycling Day on Tuesday. The event aimed to promote recycling and encourage waste reduction.
As part of the event, a PowerPoint presentation on e-waste management was shared with the attendees. Additionally, a short film created by B. Nageswara Rao, Project Officer at TGPCB, was screened to highlight the importance of proper waste disposal.
The main goal of the celebration was to spread awareness about the benefits of recycling. Recycling helps reduce waste, conserve natural resources, and combat climate change by lowering pollution levels.
M. Dayanand, a senior environmental engineer at TGPCB, stressed the importance of recycling in protecting the environment. He explained that recycling not only cuts down on waste but also helps save valuable resources and reduces greenhouse gas emissions.
