On Monday, TGMFC Chairman Mohd Obedulla Kothwal mentioned that in the last 10 years, only Rs 300 crore were released for minority welfare. However, the current Congress government has allocated over Rs 400 crore for the financial year 2024-2025.

During a meeting, the Chairman shared that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy is expected to announce loans and other schemes for minorities on November 11, which is Minorities Welfare Day. These schemes will focus on areas like women empowerment, bank-linked subsidies, training and employment, vocational training, and computer education. The specific criteria for these schemes are still being finalized.

As part of women empowerment, the Corporation plans to distribute sewing machines to 10,000 women in Telangana. Additionally, financial assistance will be provided to families affected by the Musi River Development project to help them rebuild their businesses and livelihoods.
