Hyderabad: The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TGBIE) has announced an extension for the last date of verification for National Merit Scholarship applications. The new deadline for Institute Nodal Officer (INO) verification is now November 30.

This extension applies to all students who passed the Intermediate Public Examination (IPE) in 2024. These students are required to submit fresh applications for the National Merit Scholarship. Additionally, students who were previously selected for the scholarship can renew their applications for the academic year 2024-25.

A total of 59,355 students from the General, OBC, SC, and ST categories have been provisionally selected for the top 20 percentile of IPE 2024. The deadline for submitting applications is November 30.

According to revised guidelines, students who missed renewing their scholarship applications online will be allowed to apply in the following year if they meet the eligibility criteria. The One-Time Registration ID (OTR ID) for these applicants will be generated by NIC-NSP and sent to their registered mobile numbers.

After receiving their OTR IDs, students must approach the Ministry with valid documents to confirm their eligibility for renewal. Once verified, the Ministry will approve their scholarship renewal for the academic year 2024-25.
