    Hyderabad Collaboration for Skill Development

    The Singapore Institute of Technical Education (ITE), a globally recognized institution, has agreed to share its technical expertise and advanced course curriculum with the newly established Young India Skill University (YISU) in Telangana. This partnership aims to help the university train a skilled workforce capable of thriving in the ever-changing global market.

    Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy secured this significant agreement during his official visit to Singapore on Friday. The Chief Minister met with ITE officials to discuss transforming the Skill University into a world-class skill development institution. The “Telangana Rising” delegation, led by Reddy, toured the ITE campus, explored its advanced facilities, and reviewed its skill development programs. The Chief Minister also interacted with experts across 20 fields and spoke with faculty members involved in training at the institute.

    During the discussions, Industry Minister D Sridhar Babu highlighted the courses offered at Skill University. These programs are designed to prepare youth with industry-relevant skills to meet demand in various sectors. In response, ITE officials expressed enthusiasm for collaborating with the university to enhance skill development efforts.

    To formalize the partnership, both institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The agreement focuses on cooperation in skill development, and ITE representatives announced plans to visit Skill University in Hyderabad soon to further explore this collaboration.

    The MoU was signed by Skill University Vice Chancellor Subba Rao and ITE officials, including Deputy Director of Academics and Administration Services Parvinder Singh and Deputy Director of IT Education Services Fabian Chiang. Key dignitaries present at the ceremony included Special Chief Secretary to the Industries Department Jayesh Ranjan, TGIIC Managing Director Vishnuvardhan, and Special Secretary to the Chief Minister Ajith Reddy.
