Internal tensions are rising within the TDP-Jana Sena alliance as leaders from both parties compete for election tickets. TDP leader N Chandrababu Naidu has asked his party members to be prepared for sacrifices, causing some discontent among aspirants who feel they deserve tickets based on loyalty and seniority.
Pawan Kalyan, leader of Jana Sena, has claimed that his party will receive a respectable number of seats in the alliance. The addition of the BJP to the alliance adds another layer of complexity to the situation. Both parties are refusing to back down on specific Assembly seats before formal negotiations even begin.
Senior leaders from both parties are threatening to show their strengths if denied tickets, raising questions about how votes will transfer between the parties. Former TDP MLA Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary is questioning why sacrifices should only be made by TDP leaders and believes Jana Sena should also be prepared to make sacrifices.
Chowdary, who is currently the sitting MLA from Rajahmundry Rural seat, is facing competition from Jana Sena’s Kandula Lakshmi Durgesh for the same seat. He insists that a sitting seat should not be given to Jana Sena in the alliance and is unbothered by Durgesh’s reactions. The competition for seats intensifies in various Assembly constituencies, with some candidates considering independent runs if needed.
The entry of BJP into the alliance further complicates matters, and the announcement of official candidates is awaited. Reports suggest that Pawan Kalyan has unilaterally announced candidates for some Assembly seats without TDP approval, potentially causing tensions within the alliance. The situation remains fluid as negotiations continue.
