    Final Electoral Rolls Released for Telangana Assembly Constituencies

    The final electoral rolls for all 119 Assembly Constituencies in Telangana have been released. According to the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Telangana, C Sudharshan Reddy, the total number of registered voters now stands at 3,35,27,925. This includes 3,35,12,053 general voters—1,66,41,489 males, 1,68,67,735 females, and 2,829 individuals of the third gender—along with 15,872 service voters.

    The voter list also highlights specific groups. There are 5,45,026 young voters aged 18 to 19, 2,22,091 senior citizens aged 85 and above, 3,591 overseas voters, and 5,26,993 persons with disabilities (PwD). These numbers reflect the inclusivity of the updated rolls.

    The electoral roll was finalized as part of the Special Summary Revision (SSR) 2025, with January 1, 2025, as the qualifying date. During the claims and objections period from October 29 to November 28, 2024, a total of 2,19,610 new voters were added, while 1,17,932 names were removed.

    When compared to the SSR 2024, there has been an increase of 4,90,318 voters. The total number of electors rose from 3,30,21,735 to 3,35,12,053. Additionally, the number of polling stations increased to 35,907, up by 551, and polling locations grew to 20,034, an increase of 678.

    Constituency-wise electoral rolls are now available on the official CEO Telangana website (https://ceotelangana.nic.in). Newly registered voters and those who applied for corrections using Form-8 will receive their updated Voter ID cards (EPIC) free of cost, delivered via post.

    The process of updating the electoral rolls will continue. Citizens can apply for new voter registration, corrections, or deletions through specific forms. Form-6 is for new enrollments, Form-6A for overseas voters, Form-6B for voluntary Aadhaar linking, Form-7 for deletions, and Form-8 for corrections or changes. Applications can be submitted online at https://voters.eci.gov.in or through the Voter Helpline Mobile App (VHA).

    For assistance, citizens can call the toll-free helpline number 1950 or contact their local Booth Level Officers (BLOs), Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs), or Electoral Registration Officers (EROs).

    The CEO also reminded citizens that those who turn 18 by subsequent qualifying dates—April 1, July 1, or October 1—are eligible to apply for voter registration.
