The Congress party in Hyderabad is unhappy with the government’s obstacles to hold a large public meeting after the Congress Working Committee meeting on September 17. The party has called on its members to mobilize people from all villages and thandas (hamlets).

During the public meeting, former AICC president Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi will be speaking. The TPCC president accused the government of colluding with the BJP to cancel permission for the meeting at parade grounds and relocate it to Tukkuguda near ORR. Furthermore, when they tried to submit a letter to the DGP for police protection of Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge (who have SPG protection), they were not given time.
