    Telangana to Build 41.5 Km Ratan Tata Road for ₹4,030 Crore

    The Telangana Government has started building the Ratan Tata Road, a major project aimed at improving travel in the state. This road will be 41.5 km long and will connect the Tata Interchange at Raviryal on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) to the Regional Ring Road (RRR) at Amangal. The total cost for this project is INR 4,030 Crore.

    The road will pass through six areas, including Maheshwaram, Ibrahimpatnam, Kandukur, Yacharam, Kadthal, and Amangal. In total, it will affect 14 villages along the way.

    The construction will take place in two phases. Phase I will cover 19.2 km, from Raviryal to Meerkhanpet, and will cost INR 1,665 Crore. Phase II will be 22.3 km long, connecting Meerkhanpet to Amangal, with a cost of INR 2,365 Crore.

    The project is being handled by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) and Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited (HGCL). The Ratan Tata Road will be a 100-meter-wide expressway with six lanes, but there are plans to expand it to eight lanes in the future. Additionally, the road will include space for metro or train lines, service roads, cycle tracks, footpaths, and utility corridors.

    Authorities are now looking for companies to carry out the construction, with bids opening on March 21. Once completed, the Ratan Tata Road will greatly improve travel in Telangana and enhance connectivity between different regions.
