The Telangana government is taking strict measures to prevent the spread of bird flu. After a suspected outbreak in Andhra Pradesh, officials have blocked poultry vehicles from entering the state. Many chickens have died due to the virus, raising concerns about its spread.
On Tuesday, special teams from the district veterinary department were sent to the Alampur toll plaza. Their job was to check poultry vehicles coming from Kurnool and other areas. These vehicles were either turned back or not allowed to enter Telangana. Similar inspections were conducted on Monday as well.
The main aim of these checks is to stop the virus from spreading into Telangana. Officials from the animal husbandry and police departments have been instructed to prevent any poultry or bird feed from entering from Andhra Pradesh.
Poultry farmers, especially those near the border, have been advised to follow strict hygiene practices. All border districts, including Jogulamba Gadwal, have been asked to stay alert. Authorities are ensuring that no poultry vehicles from Andhra Pradesh are allowed into Telangana.
