Hyderabad Introduces QR Code Feedback System for Police Services

Citizens in Hyderabad now have an easier way to share their thoughts on police services. QR codes have been placed at police stations, offices, and other important locations, allowing people to provide feedback quickly and conveniently. This initiative was launched during a virtual meeting led by Telangana’s Director-General of Police (DGP), Dr. Jitender, on Thursday.

The Telangana police aim to improve citizen feedback with this innovative, technology-driven system. By simply scanning the displayed QR codes, citizens can share their opinions about their experiences with the police. This initiative is also supported by Cyberabad Commissioner of Police Avinash Mohanty, Joint Commissioner of Police D Joel Davis, and other officers from the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate.

In addition to QR codes, feedback is also gathered through outbound calls made by the Citizen Feedback Call Centre, which is managed by the Centre of Excellence (CoE)-CID. The feedback system covers various police services, including petition submissions, FIR registrations, traffic violation e-challans, passport verifications, and more.

To promote the initiative, posters highlighting the feedback system have been distributed to all police stations and offices. Each station has received an initial batch of five posters, delivered through DSP Stores from the Chief Office. Officials, including Unit Officers and Range IGs, have been instructed to ensure the posters are properly displayed and the initiative is implemented on time.

The police have also been encouraged to spread awareness about this initiative through print, electronic, and social media. This system is seen as a significant step toward improving accountability, transparency, and public satisfaction with police services.

Citizens and police officers are welcome to share suggestions to improve the feedback forms and their content. Inputs can be sent via email to SP CoE-CID at coefvts@gmail.com. The feedback forms will be updated regularly based on these suggestions to ensure continuous improvement.

This new feedback system reflects the Telangana police’s commitment to fostering better communication and trust between law enforcement and the public.
