Hyderabad: Telangana has become a popular destination for major global Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) like Safran, Airbus, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, GE Aviation, and Raytheon, according to State IT and Industry Minister D Sridhar Babu.

The Minister highlighted the significant French investments in Hyderabad. One notable example is the French airport operator ADP, which has taken a major stake in GMR International Airport. Additionally, since 2018, Safran has established three large manufacturing facilities in Hyderabad, including India’s first Aero engine Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility built by a global engine OEM.

On Wednesday, a 90-member delegation from the French Aerospace Industries Association (GIFAS), which represents 60 leading French companies, visited the state. During the visit, Minister Sridhar Babu informed the delegation about Telangana’s achievements in the manufacturing sector.
