The state Cabinet in Telangana made some important decisions on Sunday. One of the decisions was to adopt the song ‘Jaya Jaya He Telangana’ as the state song. This song replaced ‘Maa Telugu Talliki Mallepudanda’ during the Telangana movement. The Cabinet also decided to remove the word ‘State’ from ‘Telangana State’ and replace it with ‘TG’ on vehicle registrations. The government also endorsed the promise of providing free power up to 200 units for economically poor sections and supplying gas cylinders for Rs 500. The budget session of the Assembly will begin on February 8. The Cabinet also discussed the revival of the Nizam Sugar Factory.
