Group-II Exams in Telangana Conclude Peacefully

The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TGPSC) successfully conducted the Group-II examinations on Monday without any disruptions. However, candidates noted that the question papers for both sessions were challenging and required significant time to complete.

Out of the 5,51,855 candidates who registered for the exams, 2,51,738 attended the morning session (Paper III – Economy and Development). Similarly, 2,51,486 candidates appeared for the afternoon session (Paper IV – Telangana Movement and State Formation).

Candidates shared their experiences of the exams, with many saying that Paper III was particularly difficult. It included analytical and time-intensive questions on topics such as population, government plans, the economic survey, the national family health survey, budgets, and financial policies of both the Central and State governments.

Suresh, a Group-II aspirant, remarked, “The question paper was challenging, with a heavy focus on current affairs and numerous questions based on the 2022-23 Economic Survey.”

In contrast, candidates found Paper IV to be moderate but still time-consuming. “The questions in Paper IV were focused on Telangana State formation. However, many of us struggled to complete the paper within the allotted time,” another aspirant commented.

Unfortunately, there was a medical emergency during the exam. L. Nagesh, a Group-II candidate, fell unconscious while writing the test at the Government Degree College in Patancheru. The police quickly transported him to the Government Hospital in Patancheru, where doctors determined he had suffered a seizure. For further treatment, he was later shifted to a private hospital in Sangareddy.

Despite the challenges faced by candidates, the exams concluded without any major incidents, marking an important step in the recruitment process.
