Women in Telangana continue to receive assistance from the government even after giving birth and going home. The government also offers free delivery and equipment kits for the welfare of the mother and kid. In this way, each lady receives benefits from several programmes worth up to Rs. 30000. It is amazing that this is more expensive than the national average for a woman giving birth. The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has lately examined the specifics of countrywide female patients’ medical costs for deliveries.

It has published a report that estimates the average cost of services ranging from OP to hyper speciality. This survey states that Rs.12899 is spent on childbirth on average nationwide.

In the state, free births are taking place at government hospitals. Additionally, pregnant mothers can receive direct benefits of up to Rs. 15,000 under the KCR kit programme. The babies are provided a kit costing Rs. 2000 and financial aid up to Rs. 13,000 in this. It has 16 different kinds of necessities for both mother and infant.

44 scanning machines were made available by the government in a short period of time after it learned that pregnant women were seeing private doctors for checkups. Thus, each person saves roughly Rs. 2000 through transportation and TIFA scanning. According to experts, the government will only provide up to Rs. 30,000 in aid to pregnant women in the state after adding the cost of delivery, the KCR kit benefit, and other costs.

According to statistics, the KCR kit has been distributed to roughly 13.91 lakh pregnant women in the state so far. A total of Rs. 1,525 crore in direct financial support was given to them. Experts estimate that this calculation has resulted in the indirect receipt of another Rs. 1,500 crores in help.
