Health Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha announced that the government is taking strong action against fake medicine manufacturers. On Monday, he handed out appointment letters to 17 new drug inspectors. Five will work in Zone 1 and 12 in Zone 2, selected based on merit by the Telangana Public Service Commission.
The new drug inspectors have been instructed to focus on strengthening the department. Rajanarsimha emphasized the importance of continuous monitoring to prevent counterfeit drugs. He urged the appointees to carry out their duties responsibly for the benefit of society.
The event was attended by State Family Welfare Commissioner, Drug Control Administration Director General (Incharge) RV Karnan, and Joint Director Ram Dan.
