Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy announced that the job calendar would be released after discussion in the State Assembly’s budget session. The demand to change the dates of the Group-2 and DSC exams is also being considered.
The government has already issued notifications to fill 28,942 posts as promised to the unemployed. The CM mentioned that his government cleared legal hurdles to fill Groups 1, 2, and 3 posts that had been pending for years.
He assured that the job calendar will be planned so that job aspirants can easily appear for other job recruitment exams conducted by the Central government and other boards.
During a three-hour-long meeting with officials, the CM discussed the demands and concerns of the unemployed. Following the meeting, he called chief secretary Santhi Kumari and other top officials to address the raised demands and find solutions.
The meeting reviewed the demand for a 1:100 selection rate instead of 1:50 in the Group 1 Mains examination. The officials explained that the Group 1 exam had been postponed twice due to paper leakage and wrong decisions by the previous government. The Congress government withdrew a petition from the Supreme Court and issued a fresh notification for Group 1 with added posts.
Leaders of the student union pointed out to the CM that candidates are facing difficulties as Group 2 and DSC exams are scheduled back to back. DSC exams are set from July 17 to August 5, while Group 2 exams will be on August 7 and 8.
Job aspirants are struggling with preparation due to this schedule clash. The CM assured them that discussions will be held with TGPSC and the Education Department regarding exam dates, leading to further decisions.
