Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka announced that the State government will establish Telangana Public Schools with international standards in every mandal in Telangana. The government has allocated Rs 500 crore in the current budget for this initiative. The goal of these schools is to provide high-quality education to students in their local areas.
In addition to the public schools, the government plans to introduce new courses in colleges to improve students’ employability and competitiveness. The higher education sector will also undergo a revamp in the near future.
To enhance technical education, 65 government ITIs in Telangana will be upgraded in collaboration with industry leaders. The government officials have studied models from Karnataka and Tamil Nadu and have proposed a suitable model for Telangana. The upgraded ITIs will be equipped with the latest technology tools and machines, and new courses will be offered to provide necessary training to students.
The government is also working on establishing a Skill University in Telangana. Officials have visited Gujarat, Delhi, and Odisha to study existing Skill Universities and develop a suitable model for the state. Additionally, the budget includes Rs 500 crore for infrastructure facilities in all universities, including Osmania University.
These initiatives aim to improve the quality of education and provide better opportunities for students in Telangana.
