The State Government in Hyderabad is considering requesting a CBI investigation into the alleged ORR toll gate scam. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy announced that a CBI probe may be ordered soon. The government is also looking into possible financial deals between the contract agency IRB and top leaders from the previous government.

Doubts have been raised about the tendering process for the toll gates, which may have resulted in significant revenue loss for the state government. Suspicions surround the role of HMDA officials and BRS leaders in finalizing the tenders without setting a minimum rate. Some influential leaders and organizations involved in the tender process are under scrutiny. The government estimates a loss of Rs 15,000 crore due to the low tender price.

Alleged financial transactions between the agency and officials are being investigated, with help from Central agencies like the Union Finance Ministry. The government is concerned about potential financial scams in awarding the ORR management to a private agency.
