The Telangana government has launched a new scheme called Rajiv Yuva Vikasam to help unemployed youth start their own businesses. The scheme has a budget of ₹6,000 crore and aims to benefit five lakh young people from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Backward Classes (BC), and Minority communities.
Under this scheme, each selected candidate will receive ₹3 lakh to support their business ventures. Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said that this initiative was introduced because the previous Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) government did not focus on youth empowerment and job creation. He assured that the Congress-led government is determined to create more employment opportunities.
Applications Open from March 15
The government will issue a notification for Rajiv Yuva Vikasam on March 15. Eligible unemployed youth can apply for the scheme online until April 5. After receiving applications, officials will review and select beneficiaries between April 6 and May 31.
Sanction Letters on Telangana Formation Day
To mark Telangana’s State Formation Day on June 2, the government will distribute sanction letters to the selected beneficiaries. Officials have been instructed to prepare detailed guidelines to ensure the smooth implementation of the scheme.
Deputy Chief Minister Vikramarka emphasized that Rajiv Yuva Vikasam reflects the government’s commitment to supporting unemployed youth and helping them achieve financial independence.
