Hyderabad, July 11 (Namaste Telangana): The Education Department has granted permission for the fee reduction of students at Sri Nidhi University. The committee of four senior officials recommended the reduction in fees for students. The Education Department released a memo expressing their concern and stating that they have taken several measures to address the loss of students this academic year and ensure their benefits are taken into consideration. The committee, led by JNTU Vice-Chancellor Katta Narasimha Reddy, UGC Vice-Chairmen V Venkataraman, SKE Mahamood, and OU Vice-Chancellor D Ravinder, has been formed to plan the fee reduction for students in these two universities.
The committee proposed that the same fee reduction be implemented for students at Sri Nidhi Engineering College, Guru Nanak University, and MBA students at the same institutions. They also recommended fee reduction for MCA students at Osmania University and BE, BPT, B.Com, and BBM students at Mallareddy and Anurag Universities. The government has approved these recommendations after verifying their authenticity. Therefore, students from these two universities can now breathe a sigh of relief.
As part of the fee reduction, Guru Nanak and Sri Nidhi Universities should change the fees collected from students in their respective colleges. Colleges that have admitted students cannot collect excess fees from them in difficult situations.
The fee that was collected by Guru Nanak should be adjusted towards completing the course. This means that the same fee structure should be followed until the completion of the third year.
This decision brings relief to the students and ensures that they are not burdened with excessive fees.
