The Telangana Government has approved a budget of Rs. 127.65 crore for the development and expansion of the Vemulawada Rajarajeswara Temple complex. This temple is located in the Rajanna Sircilla district. The main goal of this decision is to improve the facilities for devotees and enhance the infrastructure around the temple, making visits more comfortable.
Out of the total amount, Rs. 76 crore will be used for expanding the temple complex and adding modern facilities. These upgrades will include better waiting areas, more restrooms, and food courts to help accommodate the increasing number of visitors to the temple.
In addition to the temple improvements, Rs. 47.85 crore has been allocated for road expansion. This project will focus on widening roads from the temple to the Moolavagu Bridge, making it easier for pilgrims and tourists to reach the temple.
The government has also set aside Rs. 3.8 crore for building a drainage pipeline in the Moolavagu area. The pipeline will stretch from the Bathukamma Tank to the Jagityal Kaman Junction. This new drainage system will help reduce the chances of flooding during the monsoon season.
Official orders have been issued for these projects, and the plans are expected to elevate the temple’s importance as a key pilgrimage site. The improvements will also boost local tourism and support the regional economy.
The Vemulawada Rajarajeswara Temple is dedicated to Lord Rajarajeswara and is one of Telangana’s most popular pilgrimage destinations. Thousands of devotees visit the temple every year. The government’s efforts show a commitment to preserving the state’s cultural heritage while ensuring that the temple’s infrastructure meets modern needs.
